Quynh Tran
Quynh Tran, Director

From the most complex estate plans to straightforward wills and trust agreements, Ms. Tran designs and implements wealth transfer strategies based on the specific needs of her diverse clientele. Working with highly educated, affluent entrepreneurs and professionals, she develops plans to manage the securities-based wealth accumulated by these individuals and their families. She also works with many established clients whose family assets are tied to large real estate holdings.

Ms. Tran's Exempt Organizations practice is a natural adjunct to her estate planning practice. Counseling wealthy individuals and families on the optimum methods of attaining their charitable giving goals, while minimizing gift and estate tax consequences, she establishes charitable trusts, publicly supported charities and private foundations. Ms. Tran advises these entities on a variety of legal matters in the course of the administration of their projects, such as receipt of donations, gift tax consequences to donors and donees, corporate governance issues, and conflicts of interests. Ms. Tran also advises non-governmental organizations (NGOs) engaging in philanthropic work overseas. Having served on the boards of many charitable organizations, and having worked previously in the nonprofit sector, including The San Francisco Foundation, she offers her clients an insider’s perspective that enables her to provide practical solutions to business and legal challenges.
